Leaks, bursts and emergency stop-offs
Active leaks are prioritised. On arrival we isolate the supply (mains stopcock, gate valve to cylinder, isolation valves under sinks), trace the source, and either repair under pressure or drain down and replace the failed section.
Common causes in Teesside are pinholes on old 15mm copper near boilers, failed push-fit joints in lofts, split flexi-tails on basin taps, and burst plastic pipe in airing cupboards after a hard frost. We carry copper, push-fit, brass valves and flexi-tails in standard sizes so most leaks are fixed in a single visit.
Bathroom installations
A full bathroom job is a structured 5–10 day project: strip out, first-fix plumbing (new soil, supplies, traps), electrical first-fix (shaver, fan, lights, towel rail), plaster and aqua-board, tile, second-fix plumbing (sanitaryware, taps, shower valves), silicone and decoration.
We price the whole project fixed, against a written spec - sanitaryware, tile and accessory choices agreed before we order. You see the same person every day, on a clean and protected site.
Wet rooms and disabled-access showers
Level-access wet rooms need a properly formed gradient, tanking system, and the right drain choice (linear vs centre point) - get any of these wrong and water ends up under the floor. We tank the room with a fully-bonded waterproof membrane, fit a proper graded former, and tile in to a thermostatic mixer valve. Disabled-access work pairs naturally with our disabled adaptation service (grab rails, fold-down seats, easy-access doors).
Taps, toilets, valves and small replacements
Tap and mixer replacements, leaking toilet cisterns, dripping overflows, failed thermostatic shower cartridges, immersion heater replacements, outside tap installation with double-check valve and isolation, washing machine and dishwasher plumbing - bread-and-butter jobs that benefit from being done with proper isolation valves so the next repair is straightforward.
What we don't do
We don't carry out gas work or boiler installations - those legally require a Gas Safe registered engineer, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work alongside trusted local Gas Safe engineers for combined jobs (e.g. bathroom refit with a new bathroom radiator on a wet system) so you get one project, two qualified trades.
